Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer beta is scheduled to begin on October 14. Now, Activision has announced its full schedule, including timing details for PS4 and Xbox One. As announced previously, the beta is not coming to PC, though the full game will be released on computers.
The multiplayer beta will take place over two weekends, kicking off at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on October 14 on PS4 for people who preordered. The first weekend comes to an end on Monday, September 17 at the same time. For the second weekend, the Infinite Warfare beta will be available to Xbox One and PS4 preorder players October 21 through Monday, October 24 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
This is not quite the same format as the beta for last year's Black Ops III. For that game, the play periods for PS4 and Xbox One did not overlap; also, Black Ops III's beta was offered on PC.
For Black Ops III, Activision eventually opened the beta up to everyone, on all platforms, regardless of preorder status. The company did not say if it would do the same for Infinite Warfare's multiplayer beta.
Activision said it will announce Infinite Warfare's beta content "in the coming weeks." As of yet, Activision has not said a word about what will be included in the beta as it relates to maps and modes.
A remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is included with Infinite Warfare's premium versions. The campaign and multiplayer are getting updated for new systems, but Activision has not said if there will be a beta for Modern Warfare Remastered's multiplayer.
The Infinite Warfare beta overlaps with the Battlefield 1 Play First Trial, as that begins on October 13 for EA/Origin Access subscribers. The beta also runs into Battlefield 1's full release, as EA's game officially comes out on October 21.
Infinite Warfare launches on November 4.
